CCMH has an opening for a PRN CNA in our Nursing Department. Duties and responsibilities for this position will include 1) provides continual patient care under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, Nursing Staff and/or hospitalist and physicians; 2) recognizes obvious changes in patient conditions and reports to the Charge Nurse, i.e., vital signs, skin, output, activity level and unusual behavior; 3) maintains a clean and safe environment, and maintains proper body mechanics when lifting and moving patients; 4) completes assigned tasks in an efficient cost-effective manner with consideration to patient needs and completes appropriate activities that need to be done although not specifically assigned, within the scope of their practice and knowledge; 5) records data collection appropriately and accurately; 6) performs well in emergency situations under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
Successful candidates will have the ability to project a positive image of self and hospital by being courteous, respectful, helpful and friendly; maintain patient confidentiality; engages in and commits to continuous improvement of skills through participation in educational opportunities; and prioritizes the delivery of quality patient care based on individualized patient needs.
Qualified candidates must possess a current Missouri certification to work as a Certified Nurse Aid. CCMH boasts a highly competitive wage.
